Prepare Your Students for Higher Education
Designed for high school students nearing graduation, CompassLearning Odyssey College Readiness identifies gaps in student learning and addresses them quickly and effectively with rigorous instruction that leads to subject mastery.
STUDENTS MASTER CORE SUBJECTS AND BECOME MORE PREPARED FOR THE ACT
With Odyssey College Readiness, teachers assess each student’s knowledge against ACT College Readiness Standards and automatically prescribe a learning path to address skill gaps across each core subject area, including math, English, reading, and science.
Because the CompassLearning Odyssey program utilizes assessments that emulate ACT structure and question style, students are not just better prepared for the ACT, they also gain the confidence and test-taking skills needed for college success.
PERSONALIZED LEARNING PATHS PROVIDE REMEDIATION
Making sure that students are ready for college is done in three simple steps, which can be repeated as necessary.
STEP 1: Students take the Odyssey College Readiness assessments, which evaluate their knowledge of the specific skills and concepts they're likely to encounter in college or on the ACT
STEP 2: The Odyssey management system creates personalized learning paths to target the specific skills that need to be addressed
STEP 3: Each student works on his or her own personalized learning path, mastering the objectives necessary to succeed on the ACT and in college
COMPASS LEARNING AND NCAA COURSE GUIDELINES
In August 2010, the NCAA released new rules regarding software-based credit recovery, virtual, online, independent study, and correspondence courses. In partnership with the district, students can utilize CompassLearning Odyssey content and meet NCAA requirements. Odyssey courses meet the requirements, but districts will need to take some action in order to fully comply with the guidelines. Learn more about how, in partnership your student/athletes can use online content from Compass Learning to meet NCAA requirements.
