From implementation to on-site coaching, mentoring, and modeling, our Professional Development team will help you get the most out of Odyssey.
Odyssey’s instructional and management tools are extensive. So we want to ensure that each teacher and administrator can use Odyssey in a way that fits their unique needs. And because our professional development team members have classroom experience, they understand the specific challenges educators face.
It’s all about planning. Before we install the Odyssey software, our professional development team sits down with district officials to set up an implementation plan covering goals, a timeline, and a training structure that is specific to individual schools’ or districts’ requirements.
CompassLearning also provides research-based professional development offerings to ensure that teachers have initial, practical hands-on training. Initial professional development sessions not only teach users how to access the software, but also ensure they can:
- integrate what students do on the computer with learning experiences in the classroom
- link the program activities to real-world applications
- realize district student achievement goals through understanding how assessment, curriculum, and instruction are interconnected by technology.
