CompassLearning appoints nationally renowned education, literacy expert and author, Quality Quinn, to the key advisor post

January 24, 2007, FETC, Orlando, FL — CompassLearning, one of the nation's leading providers of K-12 education software, announced today that it has appointed noted education, literacy and assessment expert Quality Quinn as an external senior advisor to the company. In her role, Quinn will advise CompassLearning on software development and key education initiatives and provide professional development services.

During her more than 25-year career, Quinn has received numerous awards as an outstanding educator from various districts throughout the United States. Formerly Teacher of the Year for the State of Michigan and Reading Teacher of the Year in San Diego, Quinn is currently an advisor to the extremely successful Texas Reading Initiative that has resulted in minority students attaining some of the highest gains in reading improvement in the country. In addition, through her own non-profit organization, Project EarlyWord, Quinn is leading a new bilingual initiative between Mexico and the United States. Quinn is also a member of the Austin Chamber of Commerce Report Card Task Force and the McDonald Observatory Board of Visitors; an Advisory Board member of Marfa Public Radio and American YouthWorks; and the immediate past president of The Austin Public Library Foundation.
